British Association Alpes Maritimes
The British Association Alpes Maritimes is a benevolent association, established under the French law of 1901, which provides welfare, social and general help and advice to
British visitors/newcomers to, and residents in the Alpes Maritimes . We have Branches in Nice, Cannes and Menton. In 2011 we had close to 300 members.
We are always looking for more to join us, and, in particular, anyone who would like to participate in our welfare programme. To make any enquiries, or to join our organisation,

 This article is designed to be a guide to benefits available to residents in France (under certain conditions) at the time of writing, and is in essence a translation of a French brochure on the subject. The subject is so vast that this article does not go into all the details of how to obtain the benefits, but rather attempts to indicate what can be available.
Other benefits, not paid directly to the beneficiaries, come in the form of income tax deductions or tax credits, and are treated separately.
